Given the vaccination numbers and the study today saying half of the population have antibodies, presumably predominantly the older and vulnerable who have been vaccinated, I am cautiously optimistic that we won’t see any more of these wretched lockdowns.

Goes without saing that getting up close to people will risk transmission, albeit the risks are far lower outside than saying sitting inside together with friends.

And the frustrations of not seeing your mates for 3 months, hopefully there's a one off reaction and people will be a bit more sensible in the coming weeks.

Last point to those outraged at what they see is a sense of perspective. Latest figures are around 1 in 330 are currently infected. So 3 in a 1000, 2 of whom are sympomatic, one without symptoms.

Even those younguns aren't stupid enough to go hugging someone who is coughing away, am sure they'd have stayed home anyway.

So around 1 in a 1000 of those would be a virus carrier. The idea that those pics are a mass superspreader event is some what paranoid imho. Yep, there will be some additional spread. That is regrettable.

The idea the police should wade in, possibly provoke violence, and almost certainly increase the risk of transmission as people huddle to avoid the police....well let's just say the idea isn't one that I think is remotely sensible.

When the police show restraint and make sensible decisions, am more than happy to praise them for doing so.
