BREAKING NEWS 13:00 - Apr 9 with 3969 views | hoppy | Possibly, but this is not confirmation that it is actually the case, I can't reveal that I'm afraid... but maybe inspired by Factual... I've got myself a 15 minute slot at the tip on Monday. (sadly not the impressive environs of Bury St Edmunds, but the one near Portman Road!)

BREAKING NEWS - EXCITING UPDATE! on 13:30 - Apr 9 by hype313 | Folk Salad -Leaves, Sweet Potato Wedges, Quinoa, Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Pumpkin Seeds, Rainbow Chard & Feta w Honey & Mustard Dressing Just what you need to refuel after some heavy lifting... Felixstowe has this which seems more apt.. https://www.sallyjanes.co.uk/ Edit; I've never eaten Pie n Mash so can't comment, every time I look at the liquor it looks like someone has put Kermit in a blender, and it has turned me off. |
Not had a pie and mash since I was kid, but they were great. I was always a bit suspicious of the liquor but it is only a parsley sauce, although those places always did sell eels which looked awful, especially jellied in a jar. For some reason my dad liked them but the look of them turned my stomach. If all I had in the world to eat was an eel, the last thing I would do with it is boil the thing until it jellied.

Yeah jellied Eel sounds horrific, but I'd still take it over the Folk Salad whilst watching Farquhar and Tabatha plough through Quinoa.

BREAKING NEWS on 13:59 - Apr 9 with 1444 views | solemio | These tips are just lacking in class. The one I go to is in a cathedral city. Bury has a cathedral (I hope you've noticed) but it is not a city. Portman Road? Not even worth considering. Who'd ever want to go there for any reason whatsoever?

Smoked eel is truly magnificent. Pinneys of Orford smokery do them, available from a range of outlets across Suffolk, or online. https://www.pinneysoforford.co.uk/product/smoked-sliced-eel/ A couple of slices of Olive oiled, pan-toasted Ciabatta, some horseradish in whipped cream on the side, black pepper on top and a wedge of lemon and there is your Dinner Party starter sorted.

A cathedral doesn't make a place a city. A Royal Charter does. Nothing else.

Absolutely right. St Albans is a city. Apart from anything else there was a Stanier Pacific locomotive called City of St Albans. Its also quite a good answer for city questions on Pointless.
