I like MG. I think he's a good man. I just got the impression he looked a little...not sure how to put it...shaken maybe? Now it could be he just didn't fancy being sent out for the interviews. It could be he was worried about the reaction to PC missing a second consecutive press conference since the new owners came it (and there has clearly been a negative reaction to it). Or it could be he knows something regarding PC not being best pleased with the idea of a CEO coming in and taking the responsibility for transfer selection away from him. |  |

The chairman has said they like Cook and trust him. Cook was seemingly onboard with the stats approach before the takeover was announced. It all seems to fit perfectly. Right now there's little to worry about. | |

Could be relevant. Strange that there's seemingly no leak that Cook lost his patience with the squad. Just can't see it being about the takeover. Too much of a 180 from everything we've heard. Can't rule anything out but my money is on something minor and Cook being enthusiastic next time we hear him speak. | |

Have to agree, the drama on here tonight is absolutely ridiculous. Wild speculation to create a story out of nothing. I haven’t seen anyone post anything of substance regarding why PC waived the presser. I doubt many have watched the midweek interview where O’Leary and Johnson said, “Paul Cook was number one on our list and we’ve met with him”.
Cook will be given money to spend from an ownership willing to put better management infrastructure in place to support the running of the club, what for Cook not to like!? [Post edited 10 Apr 2021 23:10]
