Relegation form with our “easy run in”

Confusion over what the actual structure of the club is
Our never fit main striker slagging off a club legend on twitter

And to think some people were asking for the Banter Era to be ended.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

It’s still early days, it’s not going to be easy. Feel like we’re staring from zero again. After the last 13 years we need something to cling onto.

Sat in the exact same thought process

Things just go from worse to worse

Why is it never an enjoyable experience with our club

Really cannot wait for this season to be done. Really can’t come quick enough for me

Exactly this, it's a start from zero and there may be some messy moments. We need to be onboard with it and give it the best possible chance.

Our form has been this poor for a lot of the season, hardly surprising it hasn't changed.
He only decided not to do one press conference (the other, on Friday, was put off to do more training and match preparation).
What confusion is there over the structure of the club?
Agree, our strikers should do their talking on the pitch,

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Just wait till the start of next season, if it all goes wrong the armchair fans will be uprising again demanding change even though they have got everything they desired with lambo and Evans gone.

That’s exactly why we need calm right now, this isn’t an overnight fix for the club, we’ve fallen such a long way it’s going to take a complete root and branch corrective approach to get us back to the championship.

Yeah, it was just the armchair fans that wanted them gone.

True fans have enjoyed the death by a thousands cuts under Evans and some of the worst football imaginable under Lambert.

Only the last of those is fair, accurate and relevant.

And it happens to be of relatively little significance.

I for one am amazed that years of mismanagement from the owner and 3 years of abysmal performances on the pitch hasn't been entirely fixed in the space of a few weeks.

In Illers' defence, it was half eight on a Sunday morning there so he was probably tired, hungry and irritable.

Plus the day before's game uninspiring lingering effect etc.

All good valid points; I did indeed wake up angry with my club. Which has happened a lot the last few years. It’s tiring

for someone that put his parts on saying he'd never go again if ME remained, despite not being a massive regular anyway, that's awfully rich to tell someone else to dry their eyes

The performance from some of the players is highly questionable, particularly with a new manager here

It looks like some must already be talking to other clubs and are simply trying to not get injured, it would explain an awful lot about some of the performances

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

You could question our performances since PC has taken over though.

Same players yet we've gone backwards, which most point to attitudinal problems - again apparently with all of them. Seems a little unfair on them id suggest. Still this is still Ipswich town, we don't do things the easy way.

It is easy, but the malaise in the squad runs deeper than I'd appreciated it seems. I guess when you keep a disinterested and disliked manager in post for more than a year after it's clear he should go this is the kind of thing that happens. Too many players look shot to bits physically and mentally, many won't be here next season, but we waited until the transfer window was shut to appoint a new manager. Classic Evans era.
