Let's be Frank it has never been a fun place to be but today is just hilarious.
700 million dollars in cash in a pension fund, this probably isn't massively unusual but immediately we need a discussion about how all of the dollars will be spent here. News flash, the investment will be a tiny portion of that.
People claiming they broke the takeover live on air and have further exclusive info... Despite the takeover being broken with a copy of a what's app message
People claiming that cooks language used in the presser is a definate source to be concerned about
Yesterday I read someone speculating about lambert coming back.
Twitter is creating its own narrative and divide amongst fans, it's utterly chock full of ridiculous debate.

Let's be honest here, ITFC Twitter can be unbearable sometimes. There's a lot of pent-up frustration there; it's the perfect platform for some people to spout their opinions.
Huge respect to TT for giving fans the platform. I haven't any problem with them personally, though they've created what is turning out to be a really toxic and uninviting part of the fanbase. From claiming that they're the 'best Ipswich show' out there, which almost rubs them off the wrong way, to blocking and butting heads to those who disagree with them. It's a shame how snide they can be. As individuals, the TT crew are all lovely/talented blokes who are real commodities to the fanbase.
But again, kudos to them for creating that platform. I enjoyed the show they did on the takeover, and the fans who spoke on it came across well. It's amazing that they've given fans a voice. Blue Monday, Kings of Anglia, Naked Footy, even Talking Town are definitely recommended listens with a nice following on social media.
It is what it is, though. Both Twitter and Facebook can be incredibly uninviting at times, and people have opinions. I've met some wonderful supporters through both platforms. That said, I wish people could take a more positive outlook. We've got new owners! Why speculate about the manager?

I'd written my first story on it before the Athletic piece, saying that there was something in the rumours which had been circulating. I probably should have been stronger with it but wasn't sure of the involvement of some of those mentioned.
From there, a couple of people got in touch with me with further info which formed the basis for my story the following day. The Athletic's piece, which headlined on Cook being the new regime's manager target and the price being £17m and other than that was most of what was already known, came out as I was getting my second story together which included ME keeping five per cent and some land and a fire and police pension fund being the cash behind the deal, which I was told was £30m, which is nearer the mark if still a little way off as I think it's actually £30-something close to £40m.
Was a difficult story to verify initially because so few, in fact I'm guessing one, person at the club knew about it other than Marcus, so I was asking people about it and they genuinely thought it was nonsense.
Even last Wednesday morning people who I thought really must know about it if it was as imminent as other sources had suggested didn't know, in the same way as Paul Cook didn't.

Agree tt has given fans a platform but they have also hugely divided the fan base and use their stance to just create controversy.
I tuned in one week to hear Martin say he didn't rate George burley. If that's the silliness they are going to peddle it's going to be an uphill battle

I think in your post you try to defend TT, but can't really....

Temper your expectations kids and things will feel a lot better. This Twitter thing, I’ve never been on it, it seems, to a middle aged man, pathetic at best most of the time, used by idiots from Trump to Norwood, or kids sending each other into suicidal whirlpools. From what I read, Instagram is worse? Why bother?
So you've "never been on it" to see the immensely educational, informative, helpful side of it, nor the incredible beauty of photos, life stories, friendships, art, creative writing & music from around the world, yet you've been able to judge it as "pathetic".
"Why bother" to write what you did?
As I've said several times, if you follow good people & are careful to let only good people follow you, Twitter's a brilliant place, albeit hard to get started as newbies don't know who's good to follow, but #FBPE (follow back pro Europe), #SocialistSunday are good places to start for those who feel sympathy for those causes; or #FBFriday (follow-back Friday) if not. Or ask friends for recommendations, or follow topics (not specifically posting this for you, just anyone who wants to give it a go to see for themselves, rather than making judgements based on other peoples' assumptions & bias).

Not sure here has been much better of late!
It hasn't been, and since on Twitter, you can fully block trolls, WUMs & persistntly abusive people - something you can't do on here - I find Twitter better. I've been asking Gav for years to install that capacity on here, but no joy :(
