Major surgery is right and given he said Wimbledon was a key game, I wouldn’t be surprised if he went back to his favoured formation now.
We’re seeing the culmination of two seasons of apathy and disinterest by players and it’s horrible to watch. The players would probably argue that’s not the case, but I’ve genuinely not seen anything like this before from Ipswich as a supporter, it’s baffling.
If we’re looking for positives, which I will always do, defence generally has been good, not their fault the ball is continually coming back to them and then under pressure, that ball needs to go forward around 30-50% more than it currently does from certain players, it’s not ability (although it feels like it) it’s psychological and that’s hugely difficult to overcome.
