Funny thing is, when they had the chance to get devolution in the North East, they rejected it in a referendum. That was during a period of Labour Government, so now they have had eleven years under the party of the Rich and Powerful, maybe they are regretting that decision. |  |

It's not about focusing on costs or value, it's about what is realistic and achievable.

Bearing in mind our own national and supposedly serious government has come up with HS2, The Northern Powerhouse and moving the Treasury to Darlington to “regenerate” the North then we know A) there’s already a lot of money and B) precious little concern about value.

Those all look affordable. As they are in many other European countries.
And long-term necessary given how low productivity is in the UK and how much of the economy is actually based on the global economy, multinationals and international finance.

Yes, seems as if registering the party wasn’t done but their candidate is registered though. Clearly an error but they’re a small group of volunteers in a completely new party and in their first election that came out of the blue. As political scandals go, I’m prepared to cut them some slack.
They can’t do a worse job of running the North than Westminster. And I’d trust anyone who kicks Gnasher and the rest of their trolls into touch without a second thought – principled, decisive and clearly operating to higher standards of honesty and decency 😀 | |
