Had a quick gander and looks to be some great evidence-based policies in this manifesto that can regenerate many marginalised regions and communities around the UK. Not just Hartlepool and Northumbria.

And makes a refreshing change from the helpless inevitability of “market forces” as a way to fail people and society.

And vice versa surely? Ultimately it’s the people who live there who decide.

But depending on family, I’d certainly be tempted to move back and be part of an independent Scotland. Could be an exciting time to be part of building a country’s future (rather than propping up its past and present all the time).

Yeah of course it's the Scottish peoples' decision. Other people are entitled to their views as it has wider consequences but it does seem a little odd that the bloke wanting the North to secede from the UK lives in one of its' most Southern cities.

If would be like Nicola Sturgeon deciding to move to Westminster.

Who are Kier Starmer's "dark money backers" then?

Dark money is non-disclosed money which Starmer managed to keep hidden until after his leadership campaign and while refusing to answer when asked.

But I can see you’re angling to push an antisemitic trope ... dirty work, man, dirty work.

There’s lots of reasons people move away from the regions. Some of them are even socio-economic 😱

Well, he’s also got some donations from Trevor Chinn who is very much a Zionist.

Up to him what he believes in, but I can see why antiracists have a problem with those who are quite so outspoken for ethno-religious nationalism. Especially when it’s about the leadership of a party that’s meant to be committed to antiracism and internationalism. I certainly have a problem with it.

And let’s not conflate this, as you’re wont to do, with an understandable affinity with Israel and a belief in a Jewish homeland. We’re literally and specifically talking about political Zionism here – and there’s a sliding scale when it becomes problematic and ultra right-wing very quickly.

My last post on this thread (because you, me and Phil know where this is heading) but you’ve just given a “masterclass” in your bait, switch, smear technique.

Take a look at your involvement in this thread. You’ve just gone from accusation to insinuation to misrepresentation and back. But there’s nothing there. No attempt to establish the facts. Just your spin.

Have a serious think about who and what you’re representing. Because now that Corbyn is out of the game it doesn’t look like anyone respectable wants to associate themselves with these smear tactics. The Gnashers and Colliers are back to being the fringe extremists they always were now that they’ve served their purpose.

You’ve backed Brexit, the Tories for decades and gone right when anyone, including disadvantaged minorities, has gone left.

Maybe you’re not the solution but the problem? It’s a rhetorical question.

Haha! Lowhouse keeping it real!

I was thinking about this the other day ... how many downvotes have you given me over the years? I’m going for 2500.

You know better though. Higher or lower?
