Judge offering to waive contract... 10:46 - Apr 16 with 1555 viewschfsittingbell

Not sure if mentioned but Judge offering to waive his contract so he could play last 6 games is a class offering from him. One of the few professionals at the club. Hasn't worked out for him but fair play to him.

Yeah, he's a really good guy and it would have been brilliant to have him here at the peak of his career. Hope he does well with whatever comes next.

He wants to play so any potential new employers are likely to be watching!

Sensible options all round. The fact that the club got to the stage of making an announcement suggests they had reached a stalemate.

He's not giving up any money, and gets a chance to either earn a new contract here, or a move elsewhere.

What sort of football club would look to Portman Road to improve their squad?

Indeed. Good on him. Knowing the luck associated with this club though, I would hate for him to get a bad injury then be out of contract..........

Has this actually happened? Haven’t seen it covered anywhere but may have missed it....

Edit: literally just seen the quote. As you were.

Cook: Judge Offered to Waive One-Year Option 16th Apr 2021 11:20
The summer Portman Road exodus got under way in earnest yesterday with the departures of midfielder Alan Judge and goalkeeper-coach Jimmy Walker. Manager Paul Cook revealed at his pre-match press conference that Judge offered to waive the one-year option which would have been triggered by his 30th league start of the season so he could continue to play for the rest of the season. 27

I didn't realised that the club had declined the offer.

Clearly not rated by Cook.

Seems to have put the effort in to be fair, just has never quite worked out for him here.
