... what to do? Is it creepy to make a donation? I can't afford much so it would hardly be worth having.

Sounds like she needs help from a debt relief organisation rather than handouts to help with this situation. The peeps at Citizens Advice are usually very good with that sort of thing. Anyway, hope she gets the help she needs one way or another - it's a shocking state of affairs that so many in this country are struggling so badly. |  |
