Interesting point just raised on the radio - German clubs may not be allowed to get involved, due to their fan ownership rules. Meaning Dortmund, Munich, etc., couldn't be part of this. PSG are also not yet on board. Might devalue the project somewhat.
Also, how much interest is going to be sustained if fans of other Prem clubs are no longer wanting to pay to see their own team go up against those who have left. There'll only be the pool of those clubs' supporters.
They'd probably end up being forced to play crap Chinese league teams, trying to drag money in from there.

The Greedy Dozen.
My preference would be to lose them from domestic competition.
They'll be allowed to field their second teams aka U23's in our leagues though.

I think it's Neville on the Sky commentary but he is going very hard on it, says they should all be deducted league points for doing it in the season and that it's nothing more that sheer greed. He labelled them a disgrace.
Man Utd are struggling to beat Burnley, Arsenal needed a 97th minute goal to draw with Fulham so not sure how "super" this league is going to be.

Football fans must unite to punish these clubs. We must demand they play no part in English leagues.
Sky going in hard on it but who will be first bidding for the rights?
The problem with this is that it will have a devastating impact on the rest of English football.
If they actually properly clear off the impact on English football won’t necessarily be negative.
It will only be negative it there is weakness locally and teams are allowed to retain a foothold in the English game. That should be a complete non starter.

No but in prestige terms it will be like the Championship is now.

Not sure it will. If the money (already concentrated at the top) gets sucked out, that will level the playing field. Give more chance for teams to progress on skill and deft recruitment, rather than just buying power.
If the six (or however many) English teams join a European closed shop, they will make themselves irrelevant to a large proportion of the sport's following in the country. There would be about as much connection in the prospect of a match against Liverpool or Man U as facing Guangzhou Evergrande.

Prestige would be massively lessened. Money would inevitably leave to be thrown at the new league, Makes you wonder where that would leave us.

Their actual U23s teams where McGuinness is Arsenal captain and the teams struggle to get through the group stages of the League 1 and 2 cup thingy? Or would there be an overlap allowing them to play first team players in the U23 team?
If it is the former, there will be however many U23 sides taking up the relegation slots in the Premier League (and probably the Championship too) for some time. It would, however, mean fewer of the 50+ Chelsea youngsters being loaned out.
No but in prestige terms it will be like the Championship is now.
Only if it's something people can aspire to get into and win. If it's a closed shop of the same teams every season, then it's pretty much a pointless exhibition league.
