ESL - the perfect distraction 13:13 - Apr 20 with 637 viewsWicksy

Tories must be loving this.
The perfect way to distract the masses from their corruption and incompetence.

The general public seem to like their corruption and incompetence. Over 127 K dead but they are still 7% ahead in the polls,

Was amazed (but guess I shouldn't be) to see/hear it as BBC's lead story on both TV & radio main news yesterday & today.

Poll: Why can't/don't we protest like the French do? 🤔

Incompetence ?

The dyed haired lard bucket is whining about NI again

" The comments — which come as the EU pursues a legal action against the UK for shelving some agreed checks — were attacked as further evidence of a refusal to face the truth about the agreement.

“Worth remembering that what Boris Johnson calls ludicrous is what he himself negotiated and ratified, the post-Brexit protocol isn’t a foreign construct,” tweeted Neale Richmond, the Fine Gael European affairs spokesman."

Whining about the supposed 'oven ready deal' that helped him win the election....which he is now bleating that it is all so jolly unfair.

Either he was blatantly lying here, or too pssed to know what he was spouting. As this guff about no border checks between the UK and the EU was clearly a lie. If only that he had rode the brexit wave of being able to control borders. So why would the EU not want to follow suit ?

I wouldn't be surprised that, in his own head (where there is, let's be honest, plenty of space) he believes that he can railroad through NI's union with the Republic on the back of brexit. That union is realistically the only way the current mess can be solved and leave his marvellous brexit deal in tact.

He is, of course, an idiot. Until the demographics swing conclusively in the Republicans' favour (at present non-RC Christians outnumber the RC Christians by less than 20,000) then union with the republic ain't going to happen.

That assumes the ROI actually want the NI, with all the cost and trouble that involves.

Up until the brexit nonsense both sides had the best of both worlds. No borders, free movement and better economic position.

Then along came Billy Liar, focussed solely on bettering his position, be it political or missionary, and the peace and harmony has since been ripped apart.

I doubt this lard bucket has any plan beyond the next few minutes. His previous has been one of blatant lying to, either improve his lot or, wriggle out of a previous lie.

You only have to see how this opportunist shyster is now all over the ESL plan, whereas when the pandemic started he couldn't be arsed to turn up to one COBRA meeting (5) nor drag himself away from a 12 day holiday during February. Even then when he did finally drag his fat arz into things he chose yet another photo op telling the press that he had been shaking hands with covid infected patients as it was OK to do so.

Christ yesterday he was swanning around the West Country adding support to the local mayoral candidate .....who he didn't even have a clue what his name was.

I don't see why it's an advantage, very few people were going to vote against them in the locals anyway going into the polls. Most of it will be done by Postal Vote, which means older people, which means they are going to mop up most of England. The reason isn't anything to do with the corruption or Covid stuff, but the average joe doesn't see anyone else offering anything better or talking about the issues they care about.

The Tories are clever, they talk about the issues people want to hear, they do absolutely nothing about it, or in the case of immigration the exact opposite of what their voters want, but they are great at appearing to be doing.
