Our spine of the team tonight was Woolfenden, McGuinness, Downes and Dozzell. How do we expect players of their age to pull us up by the bootstraps when things go wrong, without adequate experience around them to help? When things start going wrong they don't have that background experience to be able to regroup - of course something like this could happen.
Cook bailing out on them will hardly help. Maybe they might still go ahead and have decent careers. It might not be here though.
