Rose, Gammons and Fox currently on the podium in crank olympics 2021. Anti-lockdown and anti-vax candidate (yes, apparently you can be both) David Kurten needs to up his game.

I honestly thought you were making up comedy nicknames for some unknown people. But by crikey no, Count Binface is clearly one of those 'funny' candidates, but that Gammons is the name of the UKIP candidate is priceless.

Let's hope the Tories don't take on board this idea of appropriately named candidates
Vote for Tarquin Greasy-Palm
doesn't look too good on the ballot paper

I still can't believe 28% of people are willing to vote for Shaun Bailey.
Our local Facebook group is full of people who moan about the local Labour council not being left-wing enough, yet say they'll be voting for Shaun Bailey because he'll 'open the roads'.
Why are so many people intent on electoral self-harm??

The Left in this country(and indeed in general) can be a bit like sections of TWT writ large. They'd rather see the greater whole fail than admit that 'their' man is not the man for the job.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

It's nothing to do with whose man it is — this isn't a Corbyn type issue and this isn't coming from the people on the left you usually like to have a go at. It's largely people getting massively worked up about low traffic neighbourhood schemes (thanks in part to a fair amount of disinformation doing the rounds), which Bailey has tried to capitalise on. Some people have become absolutely obsessed with the issue (I wonder if this has been caused by lockdown and them not having anything to do), to the extent that they're willing to vote for Bailey despite being against pretty much everything else that he stands for.

Not having that.
The UK has been sliding right for 4 decades through right-wing logic becoming the accepted norm and narrative – and then backed up by centrist tribute acts.
There is no loony left in real terms. Just people who don’t have their heads up their @rses and realise that equality and European-style social democracy is a necessary counter-balance.
And on a side note, you’re cynical and complain about everything and everyone else but you never have a solution apart from essentially pitching right and doing the same thing.
