Just had an email from the club saying our £20 shares are worth 35p (low, as expected).

Think that might be excessive if they cost 40p

It also says they're not exercising their tag right, so the situation is as we were.

Do you know if an ITFC shareholder can sell their shares to anyone else?

Start with the basics by asking "Do you know anyone daft enough to want to buy a worthless share" and work backwards from there.

Yes, I've done it, sort of. I had my dad's shares transferred to my brother. You basically have to agree a price with whoever wants to buy them, then get a form from the club, fill it in and send it back to them and they'll be transferred.

Interesting detail in the story that they expect to further dilute the PLC shareholding as they bring in additional cash in return for equity. Hopefully this means they are not currently planning to load the club with new debt.

Any finance types got a view on this?

The shares were sold to us for £20 each but quoted as 25p shares.

So, at 35p they are worth a bit more now.

How much would it cost roughly to buy all the shares in the PLC?

Letter didn’t say that at all. Had the new owners purchased the shares held by the PLC they would have paid the PLC 35p a share. The number of shares in the PLC may be more, or less, than the number of shares in ITFC held by the PLC.

You think the shares held by the PLC are worth more than those held by Gamechanger?

It was commented at the time of the takeover that the US owners would be injecting further funds via equity rather than debt, which would mean we don't build up further debt.
I think it was either a regulatory or tax issue in the US.issue

It does mean that the PLC's 12.5% is set to get verydiluted, but that wouldn't be a massive issue for the vast majority.
