Yeah I reckon we, er I mean you, have had too much We're beyond those days now aren't we? The only way we could attract a top, top player is to find one coming through. And then they'd move on as soon as they'd proved themselves for a season. And the chances of finding one these days is limited as the Cat 1 academies mop up all the obvious talent. That would be the same for us whether we were in L1, the Championship or lower PL. It's still doable (e.g. Mings) but much, much harder than it was. I suppose Leicester is the club that gives us all hope, as they were at the same level as us when Evans bought us. TWTD indeed. | |
