Only 31 - please make it happen!

And while we're at it, Keiren Westwood could finally seal his imminent move...

His wages will be too much.

He will easily get a Championship side on better money than we could offer.

Exactly. I'd guess he is on over a £1million a year.

I don't know if he'll be on £20,000 a week. But I am sure he will be on at least £10,000 a week.

I'm sure he will be able to get another contract on them wages in the Championship elsewhere.

This is clearly just mad talk.

No way we could have a Keiren and a Kieron at the club at the same time.

Will no one think of the misplaced vowels.

Especially when you consider that Keiren is the correct pronunciation.

Though you might have suggested Ciaran.

Would that be Ciaran Clark and Ciaron Brown.

Mother of god, lets hope the Americans have more sense than money to consider such a thing.

He was on close to 10k a week at Town. When Derby signed him it was for a lot more.

Definitely has unfinished business here

What he earns now is irrelevant though, it's about what offers he has on the table. And it won't be anything like £20k+ a week.

He will have Championship interest for sure but it won't be top end.

1000000% we should be in for him. I don't agree with the people below saying he's out of our league, he's the exact sort of experiences quality we should be looking at if the new owners are looking to 'buy like a championship club'.

yeah but in this league you could build a whole side around him, he'd score almost every game and get you promoted so that million quid is tiny compared to the rewards a signing like that could provide. Plus he'd be a cult here here and not on a bench in some drab mid-table Championship outfit.

This unfinished business thing is just odd. He's someone with no link to the club who is probably more loyal to MM than he is us. We signed him, he repaid us on the pitch and he took the better offer when it came. No issue with him at all but this idea he needs to come back is nonsense. He moved on. He will now take the best package on offer to him and rightfully so.

Truly impaired.

Waggy had a great relationship with the fans here, he'd definitely want to come back if we could compete financially. I wouldn't say he had unfinished business here, but we'd all love to see him back.

£20k isn't top end, sadly.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's on that sort of money next season, and good luck to him, he won't earn it forever. Very good player.

Again you have no idea if that is true. People are looking at it and projecting their own love for Town on to Waghorn. Why would be come back here if Coventry offer him more money and Championship football? It's very unlikely he would come back here just because he got on well with the fans.

FWIW I am not against him coming back. I just think people need to be realistic about the chances.

Yeah he'll have a few offers in the Championship you'd presume. I do think he's a realistic enough target for us though, we're an exciting prospect now amongst EFL clubs.
