.....massive profile, a very different audience, as a global superstar

I really like him too, thought his concerts in Chantry Park were brilliant for the town and like his music - a great coup by the club to get it done.

Yep, hopefully just the start of ITFC making the most of the connections and advantages that — contrary to the way many people have tended to think — the club and town do have.

It does feel like a good fit. Its a local connection with a global reach.

Its considerably better than an online gambling company.

Nearly 300,000 likes in 30 minutes, and that's 1% of his Instagram following.

Just had a notification with The Athletic running a story on it.

He's big business. No doubt it's a clever bit of business.

Yes absolutely. And although I'm very much behind our new owners, it's worth noting that this is not linked to them and was being worked on under the old regime.

If you type "Ipswich Town" in Twitter search and click on latest tweets, the whole world is talking about it. Dozens of tweets every minute from all over the globe. We've probably had more coverage in the last hour than the last month.

Hopefully this is only the start

Sounds like Rosie Richardson deserves all the credit.

I feel a bit for her as she's clearly been cultivating a relationship with Ed for a few years... and when the deal is announced the new investors get the credit.

Great news and after the likes of Fisons, E-ON, Powergen and Magical Vegas, a significant upgrade. I was always happy with Greene King on the shirt though. Appropriate if you had a bit of a belly.

Football shirts with band logos always seem to shift well from Iron Maiden's West Ham Style ones, to the Wildhearts 'Chutzpah' one. I had a brilliant Soulfly one that was an old-skool Brazil style and colours.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
