One of the outriders stopped the traffic at the lights at the bottom of Northgate Street. Two unmarked cars behind the ambulance each with someone (1 male, 1 female) in the back - one of whom waved at me (I had just crossed the road when they roared by) - but they didn't look famous, rather they looked like criminals. I may be wrong. |  |

Got one in South Africa for 'parking the wrong way on a street'. That was a camera (via the car hire company) and again I checked it and it is a parking offense in SA - you are supposed to park the same direction as the traffic.
Nigerian police were a bit more liberal in applying fines my favourite fine was for 'not driving close enough to the car in front'. |
Driving in South Africa is an interesting experience at times.
Maneuver - start heading to the lane/junction, if you have an SUV just point it and crush anything smaller.
Signal - some drivers consider this optional and rely on your powers of deduction to figure it out.
Mirror- some look but try to avoid eye contact as most drivers will have a gun and think your about to try and car jack them
Always give minibuses about 1km space in front of you they might decide to head for the junction after they have passed it and think nothing of heading the wrong way to make it back to the junction. |  | | |
