Derby Yes or No 14:04 - May 8 with 1163 viewsPortman_Pie

As much as I dislike derby for over spending and under achieving for years - it will make promotion more competitive next year with Derby and Sheffield Utd relegated.

Although Rotherham aren’t going to be a push over either. League 1 is going to have some tough teams next season..

Sheffield Utd won't be with us next season.

I'd fear Rotherham most of those potential three.

No, it won't.

Why do we continue to worry more about Sunderland, Portsmouth, Derby, etc than about Wycombe, Lincoln, Oxford, etc? The competition will be from the teams that perform well over the season not the biggest names in football.

There is one team we really should be worried about. Ourselves. If we can run our club half as effectively as Wycombe run theirs, we should be promoted.

Derby are in an utter state, Rotherhamare era streetwise to this division but don't have the budgets/ambition/whatever to sustain Championship status.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I think all three clubs would be a threat, and Rotherham are League One specialists.

So, Derby and Wednesday, please.

Also, as well as bending the rules financially and failing season after season, their (Derby) fans have often come across as arrogant and condescending. So it would be a delight to see them go down. Founder members of the League in 1888 and they've only had two brief spells in the third tier. Would be big if they got relegated. LOL.

completely agree. Wednesday and Derby are both messes of clubs, there isn't much to suggest they wont be next season.

With the apparent lack of interest of their new owner now. I cant see him being that interested in league 1 derby

I wouldn't be surprised to see him pull out

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

Rotherham know how to get out of this division and are relatively well run. I think they'd be the strongest in this division next year.

I think Derby would do something like us... Potentially worse.

Cracking game to watch. Depressingly the quality of these two teams is way above and beyond our now capability.

Hope Cook can have a real impact in the next 2 months....
