Local Cov fan here in peace, just seen a couple of twitter rumours suggesting Ipswich are interested in signing Jamie Allen from us, midfielder and a decent League 1 player for certain, played 16 times plus 6 as sub for us this year in the championship. As a Cov fan but living down here I had been thinking that we had 3-4 players you ought to be showing an interest in and Allen was one of those, the others being Jordan Shipley who has played since League two for us, he has a lovely eye for goal but he has found the Championship hard work this year, not out of his depth as such but neither did he take to it that easily. The others are two forwards we are letting go, Bakayoko and Biamou, both good players but with goal scoring records that need improving, both will play their hearts out though and have been amazingly popular with the fans at Coventry.. Wish you well next season, I think you have a good man in charge and next season ought to be much brighter.

Congrats on your survival. Nice to see you're going home next season.

Truly impaired.

Always thought Shipley would be a decent signing, especially at this level. Is his contract up though? Not sure if we’ll be paying out transfer fees.

Congratulations on your survival - Mark Robins has done a great job considering the circumstances.

It's worth noting that the squad you were excellently promoted with cost literally half as our squad that same season, who finished 11th. We'd love to emulate what you guys have done, from a far weaker position than we had coming down.

Football League First Division / Premier League Champions (1): 1961—62 - Runners-up (2): 1980—81, 1981—82 Football League Second Division / EFL Championship Champions (3): 1960—61, 1967—68, 1991—92 - Play-off winners (1): 1999—2000 Football League Third Division / EFL League One Champions (2): 1953—54, 1956—57 - Southern League Champions (1): 1936—37 FA Cup Winners (1): 1977—78 - Texaco Cup Winners (1): 1972—73 UEFA Cup / UEFA Europa League Winners (1): 1980—81

Thank you all, it got a bit scary for a while but a good late run saw us survive relatively comfortably.
Strong recruitment and a clear plan of playing has paid dividends over the past 3 or 4 seasons. We tend to buy young not always but normally thats the aim. Shipley has a sweet left foot and would be a great signing, one small snag might be that he doesn't drive and his grandad takes him to training or certainly did a short while ago! Allen and Shipley would be superb additions as you develop. Anything less than the play offs will be failure next year. I get to a few games each year and do a little sponsorship with ITFC so have huge hopes for the future for them, a successful football club lifts the local economy and general good will.. Some good times are well overdue...

Oh yes, to be back home is lovely, shouldn't have happened once let alone twice but thankfully back where we belong and in the Championship. We've sold about 8.5k season tickets which is the most we have sold for many years, always thought how poor we were when compared to your season ticket sales....

Nope both Allen and Shipley are still in contract which as you say might prove problematic.... Bakayoko and Biamou are both out of contract and have left.

Was pleased to see Cov go up against the odds, and stay up. Where we couldn’t organise a p up in a brewery, Coventry got on with the job and succeeded. Hope to be playing you in 22/3,. Unless you’ve gone up again!
