Shocked to see Nash get sacked 18:24 - May 11 with 1067 viewsTieDyedIn95

Out of everyone, next to Klug I thought he would be pretty safe, as pretty much everyone said what a great job he'd done at every thing he'd been appointed to since becoming a coach here. I bet even James Pullen is worrying at this rate!

Even more surprising when you read Klugs quotes from 6 months ago;

Klug on Dyer, Nash and Butcher 26th Nov 2020 16:15
Head of coaching and player development Bryan Klug has been talking about the new roles recently taken on by Kieron Dyer and Gerard Nash, as well as Terry Butcher’s return to the club earlier in the year. 12

I can't say I'm particularly surprised, is doing a non-job and not someone who I've ever heard players (or anyone bar Klug in reality....) rave about him

Klug on Nash, in Nov 2020;

"Gerard, over a number of years, has developed into a superb coach,

Gerard is one of the best development coaches and is highly qualified so that really does suit him. It’s all about getting the best of all the people and resources you have.

We think there’s a real role for Gerard, getting closer to the first team. He’s picking up that role and we’ll see where that goes."

Sounds like a useful coach, but as you say, was in 'non role' really.
