There seems to be an assumption that our financial situation coupled with so many players out of contract means we should find it easy to attract the right players.
It might not be the case. We could easily find ourselves fighting off many other clubs for the players we want and need. Just because there will be a dearth of players on the market doesn't mean they will be the ones we want.
I hope we don't rue the missed opportunity this year with the absolute non-attempt at getting in the play-offs when Cook arrived.

Not sure what this proves? Other clubs will want the same players. We knew that.
Should be like role reversal though. In the Championship we were the club getting blown out of the water. In this division we should be the big fish. See Fleetwood and Norwood. |  |

Agree in principle, and am sure the situation here would appeal.
However, and only using connolly as an example here, but he is from that area and may not want to move. With many players there is a bigger picture, and the variances in salaries in league one is often not enough to sway them.
