Had a soft spot for Barnsley since May 2000. To be fair, compared to the others in the playoffs Barnsley would've had to be the pick anyway, Shirley? But even more so after how they conducted themselves that day. Class act, gracious in defeat, really good bunch.
Would love to see them back in the Premier League next season. Only downside would be (sorry Barnsley) but they're probably the least equipped on paper to have a pop at staying up, and that perhaps gives Norwich a little more chance of doing so. |  |

Like a few others, have always had a soft spot for them since our POF at WemBurley. They played a huge part in making that one of the best days of the lives of many of us, and I'm not just referring to the result. The most sporting, likeable, classy set of fans I've ever come across, from the two side-by-side ribbons of red & blue winding up Wemburley Way without a copper in sight, to sharing a carriage with them on the train back oop north afterwards, all of us still wearing our colours, while they continued clapping, singing & drinking their tinnies  |  |
