I knw nothing about him apart from the stats I have just read on transfermarkt.

160 in the championship
Out for a long time with hamstring injury last season but doesnt look like his career has been injury pplagued.
He's 30 so has a few years left in him.

Is he 'prone' to injury though? So far as I can see he had a bad injury last season, but no injury problems other than that. | |

Fairly sure he is and given how his recovery has gone it seems way too risky to me. Especially if we are intent on clearing out huws, Bishop, dozzell etc | |

I know it is transfermarkt, so not a perfect source, but as injury records go this is not bad, and doesn't indicate any proneness to injury to me, and certainly not anywhere like the problems that Bishop and Huws have had

Whatmough was linked with Luton, but I guess that's less likely to happen now that Bradley's staying there. I also heard that Bristol City were interested - if that was Ashton's doing then maybe he could come here. I imagine he will get Championship interest, although we could offer him more guranteed minutes. |  |

If he’d been playing regularly then I would say yes. Very similar to Bradley, but spent the first half of the season injured. Then didn’t feature in any match day squad until the final 3 games. |  |
