(Highest charting UK Eurovision entry since 2014) It would have probable done even better in the charts if it was sung by someone well known. It isn't my sort of song but it is the sort of pop song that does well these days. It may not have been the best song on the night and the performance was a bit meh but it was by no means the worst and definitely didn't deserve nul points. [Post edited 23 May 2021 16:30]

According to Wikipedia & the official chart company UK website it peaked at number 43. Maybe the BBC were referring to last year's song which was also by James Newman. If course it's awful it the Eurovision song contest, that's what it's famous for awful pop songs! The ones which win are usually just a little less awful than the rest. |  | |  |
