Not sure if it was the last, but I was pretty excited about signing Michael Chopra. At 28 / 29 he really should've been in his prime, and just felt like he could be a real goal scorer that we were lacking. 2 goals on his debut on the opening day in a 3-0 win at Bristol City only added to that excitement, and the belief it might be our year.
Alas, he was a sh1t bag and a couple of weeks later we were losing 7-1 to Peterborough. |  |

McGoldrick as I thought he was a very exciting special player - certainly in the PL.
I honestly thought that Irish youngster would have been a great signing - forgotten his name - the one who was 17 when we signed him but had to wait until he was 18. Win some, lose some. [Post edited 10 Jun 2021 13:02]
