Is there any programme on tv that he’s not involved in at the moment?
I’m sick of the sight of him.
Watching an old ‘Would I lie to you’ and he even turned up on that ffs.
He’s hardly a celebrity and he wasn’t even much of a footballer was he?

He's by all accounts being groomed to take over MOTD from Lineker.

That doesn’t surprise me in the least!
He’ll be head of the BBC by this time next month.

Yep, but like Lineker, he's a safe pair of hands.

Jenas seems a genuinely nice guy. I have bumped into him 3 times (once literally), twice at my golf club (he's not a member) and once in a hotel restaurant. Always been polite, respectful and no obvious sense of entitlement.

I wouldn’t say Lineker is a safe pair of hands when it comes to any of our wives but there we go.

I honestly don’t doubt all of that, it’s just that I’m amazed that such a dull person is apparently so popular - or so the bbc believes.

Think a man ‘popping up’, even on Naked Attraction, is seriously frowned upon.

He is very good though, offers intelligent input and a good, calm presentation style.

He's not a Roy Keane, but he is an excellent pundit/presenter.

RIP Sir Bobby

Indeed, he was even hosting The One Show last night (not something I normally watch but visiting parents).

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Struggling to see how an old episode of WILTY is something he's involved in at the moment.

He always comes across as an ok bloke to me and I can't see what's so offensive about him, although maybe if he were to take over from Suzie on Countdown I'd have something to say.

A programme I found myself guiltily watching at some stage during the boredom of 'lockdown 1' was called 'I'll Get This'. Essentially 5 celebrities going for a 3 course meal and generally getting p1ssed at a quite expensive restaurant. They play a series of games to whittle it down to an eventual loser who has to pick up the tab. It was actually watchable, largely because some of the celebs were entertaining.

He was even on one of those. To be fair to him, he came across quite well, despite being in the company of Sara Pascoe who I don't dislike, but does strike me as hard work.

His agent is certainly earning his keep in that case!

I quite like Sara Pascoe but if we're going down the route of celebs appearing everywhere, then she would be another.

It seems to come in waves doesn't it? One moment it's Josh Widdicombe, or James Acaster. For a spell it was Manford etc.

The one who actually bugs me to the point I struggle to watch is Phil Jupitus. He's been through spells of appearing like Mr Benn's shopkeeper pal and he does my head in.

But yes, it's just agents doing what they do and finding people work.

He visited a school I was working at in Nottingham and came across very well. As you say, seems a genuinely decent fella.

Did you see Dr Ranj on Celeb Mastermind. His lack of knowledge was embarrassing. Even on his specialist subject.
