It's like the daily express if it was a tv channel.
'Plain speaking', 'straight talking', 'sharp takes'...little news though it seems. Even tomorrow's news show is billed as 'opinion, news and a bit of fun'.
Can't wait for the comedy take on the week's news. Probably mega cringe.

Finally some good news from GB News.
The quicker Neil and his motley crew disappear the better.
Has he always been so Fox newsy?
He used to host a show on BBC1 late at night with Diane Abbott and Micheal Portillo. Always thought he was quite neutral on that and it surprised me that he was part of the mob offended by imaginary things.

You're right it's not, but GB News were comparing themselves to BBC, ITV and Sky last week when it suited on Day 1 of their launch
I think he got miffed when I tweeted back to him that even if those figures were true, which I doubted, they'd soon drop, esp if they continued with the extremely poor standard of English & proofreading evidenced in his tweet 😂

I certainly always enjoyed his gentle humour on that show, and he never took himself too seriously. Personally on his previous form I think he's probably the best thing about GB News. I'm certainly not the target audience, mind...

No, he has always been the right-wing establishment. And so sure of his dominant position that he can occasionally seem to be tough on Tories too.
But when push comes to shove ...

He is by far and away the most clued up and respected journalist in UK and beyond. Boris refused to be interviewed by him prior to the election and LWBF TW4TDers were unanimous in their support for Andrew Neil and quaffed at the fact that Boris would not dream of being challenged by such an intellectual journalist.
Then something changed that they didn't like.
“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”

He’s a tenacious interviewer.
If he’s the most clued up and respected journalist then we’re more fecked than I thought we were.

Watching the fat fraud fall on his arz (1.17 mins onward) you can see why he hid away from being interviewed
As badly briefed here as he ever was when London mayor
