True, although it was tongue in cheek also. Just seems we’re getting fees - albeit nominal - rather than just letting them go for nothing (I also appreciate the nominal fees probably go some way to paying up their contracts - but still). | |

I just wonder if it had something to do with his effort /work rate. Seems to me that Cooks biggest issue with the players he bombed out was their application rather than their ability. Maybe he felt Drinan deserved the extension for the effort he put in (given it wouldn't exactly break the bank)? |  |

Poor old Orient. They lost virtually all their goals from last season when Danny Johnson and Connor Wilkinson turned down new contracts and left, and they get a 23-year-old with one scrambled senior goal as a replacement.

This post was in regards to Dylan Crowe, who we haven’t taken an option have we? Think he had a deal running until 2022.
Drinan we took the option, to presumably be a 3/4 choice option, but if we can get a fee for him, no matter how nominal that fee, there is still some income which is more than we would have received had he been released. | |

Gotta say, I was sceptical when we extended Bishop, Donacien, Drinan and Jackson that we weren't just putting ourselves on the hook paying wages for unwanted players, but we seem to making good progress getting unwanted in-contract players out the door. |  |

Supposedly linked with Arsenal at one point, was gonna be the next big thing, but hasn't got close to the first team.
