Certainly does make you think how much more favourable the wage bill surely is for the time being. No doubt more signings to come, but when you look at all those players that have moved on and off the wage bill as of this week.

Been chatting to Phil. I made a Google Sheet to automate the BBC transfer page into a postable format. But when I finished I thought that people might want access to sheets itself. I'll look to update it weekly or when we sign a player, whatever is smaller.

Plymouth have signed Bolton and Burton. Both Bolton and Burton have signed the most players. Does this mean Plymouth have actually signed 20 players?

That's a fair point. He did sign a pro deal after all. I listed all those with pro deals as they were included when the size of the squad was being talked about towards the end of the season.

Burton have done some nice business. Frazer Blake-Tracy is an interesting one, quite well known in the local non league scene and never quite worked out for him at Peterborough having had injuries. Good move for him though, he's an energetic full back and loves to get forward.

Moult is quite handy too, I think he'll score goals in L1.

Ellery Balcombe quite a highly rated young keeper, been in various England set ups as a kid.

Borthwick-Jackson through the Man United academy of course, another one yet to fulfil his early promise.

Thomas O’Connor released by Southampton, they thought he was going to break through at one stage.

Interesting to see Morecambe's business too as they try to prepare for a step up. They're bringing in Josh McPake from Rangers but not sure that's been announced yet. I think it could be a long season for them.

Yeah, I think they are a team to watch out for next season, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink leading them again. They could be a surprise addition to the play-offs, in the same way Lincoln were last season.

Surprised by the lack of activity at Sunderland so far.

Agreed, their results definitely picked up in the 2nd half of the season when JFH returned. Seems to be focussing on signing young players with a bit of a pedigree and a point to prove. Wouldn't rule them out being there or thereabouts.

Updated the spreadsheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tvUbR_VW2LdZ0-vYhpWDmppNMEqJraLKdSEq8i3J . Now covers EPL, EFL 1, 2 and 3. Also columns added to disclosed fees (which doesn't add any info to our league, but does to the Premiership).

Again, if anyone wants any more info added, just DM me.

Are you not going to add an 'Imminent' category??

20 plus first teamers out, 6 in

It looks clear now that we are not going to be waving the cheque book and signing up the cream of L1/2 talent as was thought not long back.

Whilst we did need to cut back on a bloated squad carrying a fair bit of dross, and a squad focussed on quality over quantity is what's needed can we see the current squad with a couple of more signings and a couple of loanees being enough/up to it ?
