I'd have Rice back or just in front of the defence instead of bringing walker across, James instead of Trippier, Phillips with Grealish and Saka in midfield and Kane with more direct support from Sterling up front (this is all on the assumption he's had to drop Mount who otherwise i'd brought in and pushed Saka further forward with Kane). |  | | |

Don't quite understand it. Instinct says back 3 of Walker, Maguire, Stones with wing backs (Trippier and Shaw) which in itself is fine. However does that leave Rice and Phillips in their 'double pivot' and Saka / Sterling in a front 3 with Kane?
Not sure who occupies the #10 behind Kane in the absence of Grealish and Mount. |  |

Pretty disappointing on the face of it. Lots of talent on the bench but it's hard to be enthusiastic about such a negative line up.
