They’ve had a couple of games in Bucharest, which I’d wager is warmer that the UK.

But it's just possible that they grew up there, they might even go back occasionally nowadays... [Post edited 30 Jun 2021 15:32]

Temperature in Rome is double what it is here…. on 09:11 - Jun 30 with 1481 views | TrumptonBlue | You can't really say the temperature doubles - it's not like the temperature scale starts at 0. If we take absolute zero as a starting point, for the temperature in Rome to be double what it was at Wembley, it would have to be 303 degrees Celsius. I haven't checked the forecast, but that seems unlikely. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Temperature in Rome is double what it is here…. on 09:14 - Jun 30 with 1451 views | clive_baker | Although isn't it a 9pm kick off local time? Cant imagine it'll be much higher than 20 by the time the 2nd half kicks off, although humidity at pitch will be different.

(a) English Summers also reach these sorts of temperatures. (b) The Ukrainian League finishes early May.

A lot more travel time for them then. The weather isn't ideal but 20-30C isn’t over the top. They’ll be fine.

After the 120 minutes and all the injuries they accumulated last night, it would be disappointing to lose to them even if the game were mid-afternoon in Kiev, really.

Thanks. I was going to say the same. Temperature scales are arbitrary constructions. If the Fahrenheit scale was used instead of Celsius for instance 15C = 59F 30C = 86F But "double" 59F would make it 47.7C, again unlikely.
Temperature in Rome is double what it is here…. on 09:37 - Jun 30 with 1352 views | SouperJim | https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/3169070 It'll be 26-27 degrees at kick-off time. Warm, but hardly something our players won't be able to cope with. [Post edited 30 Jun 2021 9:39]

Wasn't it? And will be useful the next time I think about the six hundred and fifty mile drive from Skye to Ipswich...if I look at it in relation to the Sun as centre of our solar system then I can see I already have one hundred and fifty two million kilometres done, I'm almost there.

Sun will have set by kick-off time so it’s not like they will playing in direct sunlight, which always makes it feel even hotter. Expected to be around 25 degrees at start of game, so not particularly excessive. [Post edited 30 Jun 2021 11:22]

I've been torn on this. It has meant I haven't had to do much watering, but at the same time I quite like wandering about with the hosepipe on a sunny day. But yes, it's bloody chilly here today and a far cry from the past few summers. Still fighting the good fight against slugs every night. Been loads of the critters.
