As 99.9% of us, ain’t w@nkers like we seemto be portrayed as lately ….I’ll start with how we dig deep for charity whether it’s at home or internationally..no matter how skint we are…and we brew great beers and make the best fish and chips.

Donald Duck, vaudeville and variety.
We are the Desperate Dan Appreciation Society God save strawberry jam and all the different varieties.
That was such a brilliant album that sold about 50 copies when it first came out, a love letter to England when everybody was going psychedelic and West Coast California at the time. Went to a nice little exhibition in a gallery near Charing Cross a couple of years ago for the 50th anniversary.

Shame.
Oh....music.
I think we still do, but not on public forums or social media.. I heard someone say, what makes one person laugh, offends another.. which is very true, just be aware that what you find funny someone else may not, and keep humour to people you know will appreciate it.

This might sound strange to some, but when you've lived in extreme conditions elsewhere - temperate climate and (still mostly) beautiful, varied countryside.
The BBC World Service on radio, plus so much superb TV.
So many kind & lovely people still out there, the majority.
Edit - oh, and the internet (thank you Sir Tim Berners-Lee), without which we wouldn't have this thread - or TWTD online at all
Moaning. It's a national pastime but only done correctly if you moan when it won't actually improve anything. So put up with bad service and suffer in silence before spending the next week moaning about it to anyone who'll listen.
Oh, and saying sorry at any given opportunity.
Sorry.

I read an American observe that when Brits have poor service, they only moan to people who can't do anything to improve it :-)
This inherently decent man has moulded a bunch of disparate footballers who actually enjoy playing for England - something we havent seen for decades. More than that he has united a divided country that is seething with disconent and righteous indignation.
Cue - national anthem...
Gareth Southgate in his own understated way represents the very best of Britishness and Englishness - and has done more to unite a divided nation than our inept and clueless politicians can ever hope to achieve
Pork pie, gala pie, game pie, Steak and kidney pudding, Cornish pastie, coronation chicken. I would also say the non w@nker content is closer to 85-90%

Gents pub toilets that smell like piss and an unwritten law that bans locks on cubicle doors so you can't do a bit of sniff in peace.. Aaaah, foreigners just don't do it the same.
