Reject them and end up missing out on the sale and he will leave for free next summer.

I do love the local news involved in those clubs we talk to and the apparent millions we are spending.
It's no different to any other club. It's based on the clubs income. Not our fault we may have a bigger income than some others. Doesnt mean we are going all derby about it. [Post edited 5 Jul 2021 15:44]

I don't think £600k for a player with one year left on his deal is unreasonable. Especially considering (as already mentioned in this thread) it appears he's indicated he wants the move. Rotherham are in a pretty weak position here unless a Championship club decides they want to stump up the money. And even then it may not be a Championship club that will double Crooks money on (presumably) a 3 year deal. [Post edited 5 Jul 2021 15:48]

Rotherham, like any club, want to sell their players for the highest amounts, and to clubs they aren't competing with.....whilst also letting their fans know they are doing every thing they can to keep the players and the bids plus player attitude made it impossible to do so.
If they can't smoke out any interest soon, then we'll get a better price - if they do smoke out interest we will have competition - but that will have happened regardless of what size bid they accept as they would be shopping him round at that fee to try and find a preferred buyer | |
