It kind of makes sense on paper as he’s got the pace to catch them on the break. The problem with it is that we’ve now got 2 youngsters playing either side of Kane. Saka snd Mount, although good prospects, aren’t up to making a difference at the top level yet imo. Mount has been poor all game (and in the semi).

He will do, he’s a 19 yr old kid. Two years younger that Dozzell, who most of us think is still a prospect for the future.

As a squad this is great experience for them though. A few aren’t ready for this level yet, but I don’t think they were expecting to be in this position so quickly.

Edit: I’d forgotten about Rashford. Would have been a better option due to his experience imo.

He should have never have been given that penalty to take. That’s firmly on Southgate
