Those were three utterly terrible attempts at taking penalties. We had been working hard on them in practise & those three young lads were the best. Fair to say the occasion got to them. Rashford should know better, he has a fair bit of experience. Kane & Mcguire nailed theirs. I'm not sure the young lads should have been put in that situation. Fair play to them for having a go.

To be honest, if I hadn’t been in hotel quarantine I wouldn’t have been watching the match. I don’t normally watch internationals.
Seb and I watched the England vs Scotland match, when he asked me who I was wanting to win I told him I didn’t mind.
We also watched the England vs Germany match on my last day at home too. When he asked who I wanted to win, I told him I didn’t mind. I lived in Germany as a kid, it was a wonderful place.
Internationals just don’t mean to me what Ipswich does.
If Southgate continues as manager it does look pretty good for Qatar. It does seem that his staff also play a part in it. Graeme Jones seemed to be heavily involved. Keeping with their current ethos is a probably vital going forward. | |

I have to agree the run up what ridiculous, even more so if you miss it. Must have been taking too many sessions with Pogba.
His penalty vs PSG in the champions league the other year in the last minute, he just welled it. I thought he was going to do that.....sadly not.
As for Saka, he had a poor game when he came on unfortunately and I can't believe he was the 5th taker, but there you go. I'm guessing they must ahve been good in training, but you can't replicate that pressure until its there! |  | | |

rashford was only a couple of inches from the perfect penalty.
jorginho had a similarly eccentric run-up against spain, but was the hero & won the game. did almost the same against us, but missed& almost lost the game.
