It’s St Swithins Day. on 10:19 - Jul 15 by GeoffSentence
it seems like it has rained for 40 days and 40 nights right up until today
Here In Germany thankfully on Saint swithin's day it has stopped raining , yesterday it rained non stop and overnight twenty people were killed and many more are still missing, complete houses were demolished in the early hours complete towns and villages are cut off due to roads being washed away at least two firefighters have drowned during rescue attempts, death toll expected to rise when rescue teams are able to get to destroyed houses.

Horrifying, but thanks for posting - had been completely unaware of the situation.
Have you been affected yourself? Heart goes out to those who are.

Fortunately only in the fact that the wife could not get into work this morning, the roads were blocked with debris, trees etc uprooted and mud brought of the fields etc. Unfortunately the death toll is rising latest news is 42 deaths and many more unfortunates still missing, the German army has been brought in with boats etc to try to get into areas where the roads have been washed away.
