I ask for just two things in the cups this season:
1) A good run in the FLT, which hopefully culminates in a trip to Wembley
2) A proper draw in the first round of the FA Cup against a real minnow. At home against someone like Leiston would be great. |  |

I remember the cups were always something else used to beat MM with.
Lambert gave it plenty of gob, but we were just as hapless and disinterested.
After Paul Cook’s league 2 Portsmouth schooled us in the FA Cup some 5 years ago, there was quite the clamour for us to bring him in as MM’s replacement back then.
Now he’s here, I’m expecting big things.
Pizza cup final as a minimum, brave 5th round FA Cup exit at the Etihad and a 11-10 penalty heartache against Chelsea in the League Cup quarters.
