The BBC Proms are going ahead at full capacity..... 16:00 - Jul 21 with 851 viewsBloots

...as long as:

You have had 2 jabs, or you have a negative lateral flow test, or have had a positive PCR test.

Or if you are under 18, your parents can vouch for you not being positive.

It would be more difficult to not get in!

You’re let in if you have had a positive PCR test?

This is certainly new and novel.

Anyone here ever been to the Proms? Quite like to do it. Looks fun in a rosy-cheeked-gammon bobbing up and down kind of way.

Been to both first night ('Rite of Spring' - Stravinsky - has to be heard live for that decibel level to be appreciated) and last (queued up overnight on the pavement outside with sleeping bag around 1968 to get a ticket - a *lot* of fun, weather was dry!) plus a couple of 'ordinary' ones.

Unique atmosphere and experiences - should be on anyone's bucket list!

I’m assuming (and hoping) it’s a typo on their part!

....going down the "you've already had it, so you are safe" route.

Bonkers.

Looks like the vaccinated are being used as super spreaders!!

They might as well not bother with restrictions then. Idiotic. Who’s running it this year - Boris Johnson?

I did a Proms in the Park a few years ago in Swansea. It was cult-like devotion from the flag wavers. Reminded me of the American evangelical gigs. Not my bag at all in terms of the event, although obviously the orchestra were great.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

The last night crowd look like a farage following room of absolute loons who you’d put right at the back of the queue to defend this island.

There’s usually some cracking events in the programme though.

Trailing vapour since 1999.
