Cobbold Stand - full effect... on 15:21 - Jul 22 with 2440 views | Lesta_Tractor | What are the two images between Golden Days and the UEFA Cup? These look great but highlight just how much the rest of that stand needs a lick of paint

Cobbold Stand - full effect... on 15:32 - Jul 22 with 2368 views | Steve_M | Looks really good, such a simple thing and yet neglected for too long (like much else at ITFC). Good to see what a decent graphic designer can do too.

I actually like the brickwork and the 'antique' looking exposed struts as well. Bet there are not many grounds around the country that have got such an interesting looking old stand. That Muriel has utterly transformed the back view of that stand for me, really, really great work. Now if Portman Road could be quickly pedestrianised in the next two weeks with some tasteful herringbone into a smooth concourse without the ankle-breaking curbstones, and the statue of God installed, that would do until the major stand rebuild in the summer of 2023 in advance of the Premiership season...

Naaa it’s part of the character. The windows were the worst thing about the ground.

Cobbold Stand - full effect... on 15:44 - Jul 22 with 2223 views | EastTownBlue | There is only so much they can do to improve the appearance of an old stand but they have done an impressive job while paying tribute to the history and a number of Town favourites. A good start for the new regime.

yes it's changed from looking like an eastern block building from the 1960's to something resembling alright.

Yeah valid point! I did wonder if a couple of large badges in the spaces might stop it from looking a bit empty? I think the work that has been done kind of exaggerates it more.

The one bit I wasn't overly keen on was the bit either side of where the awnings are above what was the centre spot... where it's just a repeating Suffolk punch pattern. I would've preferred just a continuity of a few more players montaged together - without the need for any wording on them...

Apologies. I believe people call it 'The Premier League' these days. I thought I'd swallow my distaste and call it something other than it's correct name, which as we all know, is the 'Football League 1st Division', and of course I burgered it up.
