£42 for U12 ST 15:57 - Jul 22 with 1706 views | hype313 | Is astonishing value for money, that's cheaper than 5 pints I bought near Spitalfields market last week.

Think that £1.50 booking fee is a bit of joke to be honest, it even applies when you buy tickets in person. Surprised more hasn’t been said about it.

I couldn't be bothered to start a thread on it - but yep it is a joke. Just include it in the ticket cost - because they aren't £10 for adults as there is no way of getting them for that price!

It's not ideal, and the booking fee seems a bit naughty, I just think as much as it's essentially a training exercise, priced right it could entice a few stragglers who are on the fence re ST.

I don't like booking fees in general, but at least with a big company like Ticketmaster, the reason they apply them is because that's their sole source of income from the ticket. With ourselves, it just seems like a money grab because the club is already getting the ticket fee directly. There's probably more to it but seems cheeky to say the least.

Haven't bought one so idk, but isn't it done through seat geek now? Thought I read it was, if so that may be why

It’s all done on the Town ticketing site and still the same process as before seat geek were involved, it’s just powered by seat geek isn’t it? [Post edited 22 Jul 2021 16:43]

That would make sense. I wonder if partnering with seatgeek will be something that gets reversed by the new owners when they can.

Yeah its powered by them but surely theyd be wanting to make a bit of money off of it as well? Just seems too much of a coincidence for the fee to be added the first year we use them

I was tempted to make the trip down for the Palace game and then visit my family as I had a relatively free weekend. Unfortunately I now have a presentation to make for Monday so don't really have the time. Will be interesting to hear what difference seatgeek actually make to getting into the ground as their quotes from the news article about them seemed to mainly be buzzwords:

Yeah but surely club should just give them however much per ticket instead of passing it on to us haha. I was surprised when they said it’s the same for in Planet Blue as usually ‘booking fees’ are just online.

They'll be using the same system in the shop, so assume that is why the fee will apply. SeatGeek will have a "per ticket" fee. The club will then add a margin on top too.
