The commentaries for every game he played in were peppered with "Good block by Toto", "Great block by Nsiala" and the like. BANG ON ! How many times indeed. Loads. But people never saw that. They seemed to be obsessed about 3 penalties he gave away last season.

I'm with you, he's an honest and limited player that always gives 100% and actually as a defender he's pretty good. I think he made a few howlers in his first season, when we were abysmal anyway, and he was judged forever after.

Now I'd love to see someone better come in, but have absolutely no issue with him playing 15+ games as backup.
