Talented boy. Had a really good spell at Kilmarnock that got him his move to Rangers, which hasn't worked out.
His half a season loan at Sunderland showed what he can do - 3 goals 4 assists.

That doesn’t make sense to me. Turns 27 this season so unlikely to improve to the extent of being a key player for Rangers. Was loaned out to Sunderland last season and along with Edmunson, broke the covid rules and looks like there’s no way back for him.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t sell him if we wanted. |  |

Battling Sunderland and Wigan it seems for his signature. With Burns and Chaplin ours for the foreseeable future, I’m not against this being a loan move. Think the first two would be very suited to the Championship, not sure about Jones.
Showed real quality in the first half of his loan spell at Sunderland, but seemed to tail off by the end. Think we do need an extra winger if Burns goes down with an injury, and having Chaplin, Burns, Jones and Dobra sounds very exciting. |  |

Not going to complain as we have had a great window. But by all accounts is consistently inconsistent.

The EFL website still has the 2020-21 pre-legal dispute FFP regulations up, but their definition of "salary" for that did include loan fees:
