That's good news, I have had a job booking a hotel on a couple of occasions - hopefully more people will be tempted to this one and I'll have an easier time of booking the one on the waterfront!

Christchurch Mansion, the Museum and (apparently) the transport museum, large numbers of medieval churches. More useful as a base for the countryside and coast around.

Christchurch Mansion where you can find some of Constables best paintings, Chantry park (largest park in Ipswich), Wolsey Theatre, Dove pub, Thomas Wolsey pub, travel by boat to Felixstowe, Harwich, Shotley, walk by Nacton shores and underneath Orwell Bridge, visit the museum, watch Ipswich speedway, visit Ipswich School (the only school mentioned in one of Shakespeare works), etc, etc.....haven't even mentioned The Waterfront, places to eat, ITFC, beautiful churches........

I wouldn't move anyway....

So not a great deal then? Its not a Norwich or a Cambridge that's for sure.

I doubt very much that the hotel will go ahead, the occupancy rates across the other locations must be low and I can't think why anyone, other than business users would choose to stay in the Town.

I agree 100% that it is not a Norwich or a Cambridge; wonder why you have not mentioned Bury St Edmunds which is a wonderful place to visit.
I'm sorry you not appreciate the art, culture, cuisine, walks, history, sport etc that my town has to offer.

If you're counting a pub, a park and a school as things to visit, I think you're struggling to be honest.

A boat that takes you to other towns is a bit of a stretch too.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

If Constable, over 20 parks, good pubs, a town granted a royal charter hundreds of years ago, an eclectic and diverse population, beautiful walks, a labour council, magnificent churches, the sea on its doorstep, London within 70 minutes, a thriving waterfront etc is not your thing than that is fine by me.
As I said, my home and one of which I am proud.

Most places have parks, pubs and churches. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with a royal charter. Is it something I can go and look at?

And again, saying something is 70 minutes from London isn't a benefit. London is the benefit!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
