Very surprised that we are closing in on the first league game and we haven’t brought anyone in this week.
Especially after the millwall friendly, I thought cook and ashton would have prioritised a signing or two based on performances.

Ashton said in his interview yesterday he doesn't like doing late deals but I do wonder if there will be an element of 'keeping our powder dry'. With the volume of free transfers and the market being delayed by the Euros, there is going to be a few players available late on in this window that you'd not expect to be in L1 I imagine. | | | |

As Ashton said in his interview that was released by the club yesterday there are a few massive prem signings that could have an impact on the rest of the transfer window for lower clubs. If Grelish and Kane both go to City for £100m+ that is going to have a knock on effect for the rest of the football pyramid difference when clubs are talking money like that is its going to take longer to get done because of the fees involved and not be rushed through like a £10k signing or whatever.
Both Cook and Ashton have said there will be more signings to come so lets just wait and see what they are, we are in a good position and have a favourable opening few games for the team as it is to start to gel and then more players will come through the door over the next couple of weeks I'm sure of it. | | | |

...appoint Norwich's Head of Recruitment as their Sporting Director.
Not sure how this will effect their recruitment process, if at all, but it seems strangely late in the day to be making that type of appointment.
His arrival is imminent, so maybe that will speed things up.
Plus, hopefully it will weaken the budgie backroom/admin team. |  |
