We have seen plenty of highlights reels that have made players look far better than the performances they put in once here. Priskin stands out for that for me.
I trust the judgment of our recruitment policy at the moment (and dearly hope I still will by the end of the season as well) but I can understand why highlights reels do not convince fans.

This is more likely one of those ' good to have around the squad' signings. When/If available, very handy squad player. If not up to it. Great for the dressing room and training ground.

with a limited squad size being enforced this season we can't afford to have any 'good to have around the squad signings'...I think he's a very good player at this level but trust the medical team to make the right call regarding whether or not he has recovered from a couple of very severe injuries

If he stays fit, it certainly sounds as if he'll be an impressive signing.
The noises coming out of Portsmouth remind me a lot of what we used to say about David McGoldrick; the kind of player who, on his day, would be worth the admission fee just to see him.
Hopefully a change of scenery and staff will keep him fit, and we'll reap the benefits.
