I never understand why some people cannot grasp footballers improve with age/experience. It's as if some people think all footballers reach their full potential at 17 and remain the same and if they're aren't great at 17 they never will be. No, it’s not that, he has done well to improve since, just theres a huge difference between playing in a relegated Ipswich on loan and starting for Chelsea in the Prem over world class cbs. I thought he would have a good career and would improve as he aged, but not enough to start games for Chelsea. | |

2) Would you believe players develop with age. Mad concept I know, but most players don't emerge from the womb as the finished product. Harry Kane had plenty of ineffective loans.

He was raw and far from what we needed at the time he was here. It is good to see his experiences with us do not appear to have held his progress back. Some loan players you can clearly see how their time with us helped them but less so with him, I feel.
Similar with Parrott. I am sure he will be a Premier player for Tottenham but he was not what we needed last season. |  |
