Yes. It is test cricket and we are not going to throw away the top 3-5 wickets trying to get a challenging rate only to lose.
If India go very attacking with their field and we get off to a flyer and are 100-0, then we would go for it. But I don't think they would do that either.

Quite possible. However, I wouldn't be too surprised if they bat on after lunch either.
Either side will have to go some to lose this from here.
The flip side of test cricket. The match has gone from all four results possible to nailed on draw in under an hour.

If they declared now it would be 260 off 64.
The only thing that could have been worse from that session would have been Pant scoring the runs a lot earlier and India all out or put us in just before lunch with us then losing 2 or 3 wickets in those overs. | |

Kohli used up a couple more overs by batting for a couple after lunch too. He has no more expectation of getting into a winning position than England do.
Of course, 2 wickets in the first over or Burns and Sibley get us 50 off the first 8 overs and it is all different. | |
