Not got a reason other than a gut feeling. But I'm feeling a win and a first 3 points of the season. Maybe 3-1. And a sudden outburst of Cook positivity.
It strikes me of all the opening fixtures this is the hardest on paper and it would be a very Ipswich thing to do, to win this one after underperforming in the other ones. |  |

MK Dons are decent but we've signed one of their biggest attacking threats they've lost their manager.
With the amount of quality we have brought in there is no reason whatsoever to go into any home game with anything less than the desire to win comfortably. Obviously we won't win all home games and no one is expecting it but in isolation there is no one we should fear. There are some strong sides but no one we should be fearing.
I fully support Cook and think it will come good but I want a win tomorrow. That doesn't mean I will turn if we don't get it. I just think we've got enough to win the game.
It would nice to win comfortably just to put some distance between us and Downes' utterly cringe comments. |  |

Its disturbing that 24 hours before a home game and only our 4th of the season. Our manager has basically said he's not begging for Time more than a handful of times. And having to try and explain the off field issues that's holding things back.

Tough game to call tomorrow, they have decent strikers and we will need to defend well to win the game.
Are they still playing their possession game under Manning? If so we will need to press high in packs, something we haven't really done very well under Cook.
I can forsee goals. I'm hugely looking forward to seeing Edwards (hoping he hasn't got the lurgy) and the game in general.

Thinking about it I wonder if we might try and solidify the midfield? Bring in Carroll for Bonne and go more with a 4-3-3, relying on accurate long range passing and Edwards’ skill to unlock the defence? Not sure whether a change of shape is the right thing to do right now, and whether we do need to get more solid considering our defensive xG - just thinking out loud. | |
